Business Analysis

A complete learning path from zero to job-ready Business Analyst.

All learning paths

This is a complete learning path — eight topics that take you from "I don't know what business analysis is" to "I can elicit requirements, model processes, and deliver solutions that stakeholders actually adopt." Everything is taught from zero, in a deliberate order, with practice after every topic and a mini project to cement each skill.

You do not need a technical background to start. You only need curiosity, clear communication skills, and the discipline to do the practice. Roughly 14–16 weeks at a few hours a day gets you through the whole path and into a portfolio worth showing employers.

How to use this path

Start with the roadmap, then follow the topics in order — each one builds directly on the previous. Re-do a mini project if a topic doesn't stick; passing the knowledge check at the end is your gate to the next topic.

  1. BA Fundamentals — what BA is, the role, and core competencies
  2. Requirements Elicitation — interviews, workshops, surveys, and SMART requirements
  3. Stakeholder Management — identification, communication plans, and conflict resolution
  4. Process Modeling — BPMN, flowcharts, swimlanes, AS-IS vs TO-BE
  5. Documentation — BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, traceability
  6. Agile & Scrum — Agile manifesto, Scrum, backlog grooming, BA in Agile teams
  7. Solution Evaluation — business cases, ROI, gap analysis, KPI tracking
  8. Career Preparation — resume, portfolio, certifications, interview prep

Skills you'll build

  • Frameworks: BABOK, Agile, Scrum, BPMN, UML
  • Techniques: requirements gathering, process modeling, stakeholder analysis, cost-benefit analysis
  • Work habits: stakeholder-first thinking, evidence-based recommendations, structured documentation

What you'll build

  • A complete Business Requirements Document (BRD)
  • Process models (AS-IS and TO-BE)
  • User stories with acceptance criteria
  • A business case with cost-benefit analysis
  • A BA portfolio with case studies

Who this is for

  • Career changers moving into business analysis
  • Students building a practical, portfolio-first foundation
  • Professionals already working with requirements who want the full BA skill set

No experience required. If you can communicate clearly and think systematically, you are ready for Topic 1.

Learning philosophy

Four rules keep the path effective. Practice over watching — every topic ships a hands-on task; do it. Stakeholders over documents — you learn techniques to serve real people, not fill templates. Evidence over opinion — every recommendation comes with data or structured reasoning. Foundations before frameworks — master the basics of elicitation and communication before diving into BPMN and UML. Follow those rules and the path ends with a working portfolio, not just notes.
